DISTRICTS OF BUENOS AIRES: A BRIEF GUIDE ON WHERE TO STAY IN BA
Recoleta: Arguably the most affluent district of the city - beautiful buildings, designer shops, home to the famous cemetary, lots of smart bars and restaurants. Comparable to Mayfair of London.
Palermo: The trendy part of Buenos Aires, many low-rise buildings, bohemian shops, bars, nightclubs. Comparable to Notting Hill of London.
San Telmo: This special neighbourhood of BA is a place where the trend setters are now flocking to live and stay and is fast becoming the next fashionable hotspot of town. It has a very bohemian feel, home to the famous antiques market at the weekend, street performers, artists, cobbled streets, it has a very classic old feel to the town.
Barrio Norte: This is a very central part of BA, right next to Recoleta, comparable to Chelsea of London - again great bars, restaurants, clubs and shops and the rental prices here are generally excellent value. It comprises parts of the districts of Recoleta, San Nicolas, Palermo & Balvanera
Congreso: Right in the capital with some of BA's most magnificent old buildings some of the best value for rental and has an amazing feel for the history of the city. It is where is situated the famous Congress building in Congreso Plaza, a part of BA that must be seen.
